A quick guide to translating Bruce’s grunting (by Jason):

frownyalfred:

  • Singular grunt = hello/good morning/general acknowledgement of your existence
  • Low, soft grunt = thinking/doing math mentally/too busy to acknowledge whatever you just said
  • Snort = I find whatever you just said amusing but I’m too manly to laugh
  • Grumpy morning grunt (generally made at doorway of kitchen) = I need coffee
  • Quiet hmm noise = someone messed up and this benefits me
  • Slightly louder hmm noise = I messed up and this definitely does not benefit me
  • Sharp exhale through nose = I’m injured but trying to hide it
  • Soft, extended exhale through nose = why do I have kids again

what do you think about the Batman dick pic

we’ve been seeing female characters drawn with their nipples pointing out of their clothes, with cameltoe poppin’ out of leather pants somehow, with thong leotards with their butt cheeks flapping in the wind. is about time we saw some super men dick if u ask me

Honestly I read the bleeding cool article when the news broke and laughed my ass off.

“Many retailers were okay with a butt crack…. But a Batpenis on full display in many areas of the United States of America is a different story entirely. There are calls to make the comic returnable. Or maybe reprinted with the original shadow.”

I have to ask, where is this energy when Supergirl, a 16 year old character, has dozens of panty shots with her skirt just so? Are these people who are upset and demanding returnable orders over a rated M comic book with a penis inside it also upset when a RHATO 32, a rated T comic book, had Starfire wearing what is essentially lingerie lounging seductively on a sports car with her perfectly round magic breasts?

Bruce Wayne has an anatomically sized penis that was drawn without sexualization in a book meant to be purchased and read by adults and comic stores are freaking out and want their money back. They’re weak as hell. Bruce’s nude body was drawn with more respect than the clothed bodies of teenage girls.

Where’s the outrage over that?

types of dissociation:

  • existing but a little to the left
  • am i crossing my eyes or is everything just blurry?
  • clipped right thru the floorboards
  • what the fuck is a “body”
  • i have too many bodies at once and they’re trying to start a fight club. how many arms are humans supposed to have again?
  • floam
  • sounds fake but ok
  • pick two: harsh noise, dial up tone, cantina theme [10 hour version]
  • 360 no scope
  • the atmosphere is lighting me on fire very, very slowly.
  • someone: “wow! you handled that stressful situation so well! so cool and competent!” me, unaware that anything happened: “i what now”
  • *forgets to breathe for 5 hours*

So my cat is sleeping between my legs and then this happened and I laughed so hard he woke up.

that’s a potato

Your cat looks like an uncooked chicken

he became so smooth i’m so proud of him

Doctors HATE him for discovering this one skin-smoothing trick!

Every now and then this post picks up traction again and honestly those last two replies are my favorite so I’m reblogging to preserve them on my blog forever.

all those ‘say no to drugs’ assemblies in school where WACK i never once had the pot head kids push the Devils Lettuce on me. they’d be like ‘hey u wanna smoke some of this here Blunt of Marajoouana?’ and i’d be like ‘no thanks i dont smoke’ and they’d be like ‘ok cool’ and never bother me about it again

drinkers? NO CHILL AT ALL. even into adulthood people act like i’ve slain their child when i say i am completely sober. like every single time i’ve said no to drinking some person is like ‘what about jello shots there’s barely any in it’ or they’ll leave me a solo cup of wine ‘in case you change your mind’ and when by the end of the night i haven’t had it they’re all ‘you didn’t want any?’ LIKE? YAH I SAID I DIDNT?

anti drug psa’s are fine but they gotta talk about drinking too bc never once did anyone i know who did drugs push me to do it too but everyone i tell i am sober tries to find a way to get me to drink like i said ‘i am sober but change my mind’ or smth

Today I learned

Free Audiobooks and Ebooks on OVERDRIVE.

Free Graphic Novels (DC, Marvel, Image, etc), Music, TV shows, and music on HOOPLA.

Free music that you can KEEP on FREEGAL

You are PAYING for all this with your tax money – USE THEM. Most likely systems will have all 3 or 2 out of 3, so if you aren’t sure call your local library’s reference/information desk and how you can get set-up or started.

Helpful links to all of the above:

Overdrive: https://www.overdrive.com/

Hoopla: https://www.hoopladigital.com/

Freegal: https://www.freegalmusic.com/home

More places to find FREE EBOOKS:

Standard eBooks (basically stuff off of Project Gutenberg, but prettified)

Baen Free Library

Book Bub – Free eBooks and Free Kindle books

Bubblin Books

Useful if you’re an ebook power user: Calibre

many libraries also give you access to KANOPY which has free movies (mostly documentaries but last i checked Moonlight was on there!)

A big chunk of the criterion collection is on Kanopy, as are a lot of the Great Courses sets! It trends toward indie stuff and documentaries definitely though.

RB Digital is another one a lot of libraries have, for magazines.

Also for Overdrive, there’s a new, improved app that’s much easier to use called Libby. You can download it plus the apps for hoopla, rb digital, and freegal in the Apple and google play stores then just plug in your library card info and get going.

Oh and if you’re running into paywalls with your online newspaper reading, libraries got your back there too – most of us provide access to the big ones and whatever the local papers are.

Finally, for any of my Massachusetts folks that don’t know, literally everybody in the state can get a Boston library card, physical or digital, and they have a pretty dang robust set of databases you can use as well as most of the above mentioned (I don’t think they have kanopy as of now but I’d have to double check).
